obamacare is 3 Years Old and Already a Pain

Rhetoric and obama go together like a chicken and chicken poop. If he says it, you can bet your bottom dollar, it’ll more resemble the poop than the chicken. What’s that mean for obamacare?

For example, as 2014 rushes to catch us, the evidence is becoming clearer that insurance costs are about to sky rocket and there will be more people uninsured than there are presently uninsured.

The truth is this bill, known as obamacare, officially called the Affordable Care Act, is anything but and will further decapitate a health and health insurance system that needed an overhaul by a surgeon and not cleaver wielded by a butcher.

The obamacare rhetoric promised to lower premiums for families. The words sounded good but the bill actually causes the premiums to rise exponentially. Some estimates say that in 2016 the health insurance premiums for a family of four will be $20,000 a year. I’ll let you divide that by 12 to see the amount of the monthly premium.

When Justice Roberts proudly and loudly proclaimed that ACA was a tax and therefore legal was he ever telling us the truth. Each part of the fees and “taxes’ levied are calculated to raise$100 plus billions for the government.

When you peel back the layers, it becomes clear ACA is supposed to be a debt reduction device. Unfortunately the architect of this bill refuses to stop spending. So much for debt reduction.

The bill imposes a 3.5% surcharge on insurance plans sold through federally run health insurance exchanges. Plus it imposes a $63 fee for every person covered by employers. Added to these ridiculous numbers is a premium tax of 2.5%.

If I ask guess who is going to be the payer of last resort you probably will say me the consumer. If you did say that, you would be 100% correct. You would be correct because all of the taxes and surcharges are costs the insurer refuses to bear. That means they have to be shuffled off to the end user.

This same rhetorical person says he is for American jobs. He even claims his administration has created millions of them. That is about to change when ACA takes full effect.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO), in February, said that 7 million will likely lose their employer coverage and some even their job thanks to obamaCare. This is nearly twice its previous estimate. That number, the CBO went on to say, could be as high as 20 million.

We both know who the people are in that mass blithely called 20 million by the CBO. Look in the mirror and I bet you see one of them.

Another kick in the pants to American workers comes by way of a survey done by Adecco. They are a human resources consulting firm that learned that half of the small businesses it surveyed in January either plan to cut their workforce, not hire new workers, or shift to part-time or temporary help because of obamaCare. Take another look in the mirror if you are in this workforce.

The no tax on the middle class promised by the great leader is about to become a huge tax on the middle class. Imagine a politician saying one thing and doing actually its exact opposite.

Here are some of the numbers. The tax hikes imposed by obamaCare will end up hitting the middle class, including $45 billion in mandate penalties, $19 billion raised by limiting medical expense deductions, $24 billion through strict limits on flexible spending accounts, plus another $5 billion because obamaCare bans using FSAs to buy over-the-counter drugs. I bet I don’t have to tell you to look in the mirror.

Believe it or not, there is a shortage of doctors in some fields in America today. Add to that the results of a study by the Association of American Medical Colleges and you learn that the country will have 62,900 fewer doctors than its needs by 2015, thanks in large part to obamaCare.

This may not sound like a huge problem but what if you live in area where there is already a doctor shortage or very few doctors now practicing. How far are you willing to travel to receive medical attention?

You don’t have to travel at all to know obamacare is 3 years old and already a pain in everybody’s backside. Some gurus are telling us it, obamacare, is only going to get worse.

  1. yeah, big business has wanted health care responsibility off it’s back for the last 35 years. usually takes about that long to sell a ludicrous idea to the public. i’m thinking the sale of social security to wall street has about 6 more years left to fruition.
